Bryan Gottfried holds a BS in Geology from Florida State University, an MS in Geology from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, and an MBA from the University of Houston and spent the first 20 years of his career as a geoscientist in the upstream oil and gas industry. As a technical support consultant while at Schlumberger and a geohazards consultant for Fugro, his clients included ExxonMobil, Chevron, and CNOOC. As an operations and production geologist for Anadarko, Marathon, and Citation Oil & Gas, Bryan worked on assets throughout the US. His projects have included geo-steering over 80 horizontal wells in the Bakken of North Dakota, developing reservoir models of deep-water Gulf of Mexico fields, and applying innovative Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques to fields in Illinois, Kansas, and Nebraska.While pursuing his MBA, Bryan focused on developing his understanding of various clean energy technologies and learning how policy initiatives promoting the energy transition will impact the business environment. Bryan is currently looking to help companies reinvent themselves and design sustainable paths forward by applying his knowledge of the traditional oil and gas industry and providing insights and strategies for navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by the global energy transition.
