Mr. Saks is a founding partner in the law firm of Oliva, Saks, Garcia & Curiel, L.L.P. He has practiced in the State of Texas for over 31 years in general business, real estate, construction, non-profit, international transactions, estate planning and commercial litigation. He attended St. Mary’s University and holds B.B.A., Finance, J.D., and a Master of Law in International and Comparative Law (LL.M. and served on the Texas Judicial Counsel for the State of Texas following the appointment by Gov. Greg Abbott and confirmed by the State Senate from 2017- 2021. He has been recognized as National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and Best of the Bar- Top 100 Settlements in 2019; St. Mary’s University Board of Trustees from 2010 to 2018, Law Oversight Committee, Texas Bar Foundation-fellow, San Antonio Bar Foundation-fellow, St. Mary’s Hispanic Law Alumni Assoc.; board member/ former president; and represents numerous clients all over Texas, including lead development attorney for Echo East project-$150 million mixed-use development with Atlantic Pacific Communities, George Gervin Youth Center Inc., with successful closing of Phase I, a $43 million 192-unit multi-family \LITHC project with the SAHT in April, 2021. Mr. Saks is also a fee attorney/ escrow officer with Stewart Title Co.
